The Sixers head into camp with three rookies on the roster and, by the coach's own description, one rotation spot available to them. The spot is at backup point guard, and the competition begins on the first day of practice.
The other two rookies will spend October in the developmental league unless injuries intervene. The team has been direct about that, which is a change from previous seasons.
Camp scrimmages will be the first public look at all three.
